KayakThe Laguna Negra reserve is located in the northeast of Lake Khami or Fagnano, close to the Tolhuin urban ejido, it belongs to the Department of Río Grande. The southern limit is delimited by Lake Fagnano, to the west it limits with the Corazón de la Isla reserve, to the east with the commune of Tolhuin and to the north with private lands.
The Laguna Negra is a body of coastal water separated from Lake Fagnano by a gravel cord, caused by a seismic movement. You go through a forest of lengas and ñires, passing through peat bogs, with a panoramic view of the peninsula of the wind. Beaver dams and the consequences of the geological processes in the area are also observed. Along the route you can see lakes, moraines and valleys caused by glaciers that do not exist today, which account for global climate changes, the southern limit of the South American Plate, which supports the Argentine national territory and coastal lagoons, product of the sinking by seismicity at a plate boundary. Like the Río Valdez reserve, this reserve represents a favorable habitat for the recovery of populations of the native red fox. It is also possible to meet the guanaco and different native rodents.
At the end of the Trekking, we will go to Laguna del Indio to continue enjoying the extreme with our kayaks, in a 30-minute journey, a unique adventure. Once in Laguna del Indio, you will proceed to equip yourself with the necessary safety elements for the canoe crossing, to be able to make a 30-minute journey in individual kayaks, accompanied at all times by a guide, through the Laguna del Indio.
