With the Escondido and Fagnano Lakes Tour you will visit two enchanting lakes surrounded by deep valleys eroded by glaciers.
The first stop will be at Carabajal Valley, where you will be able to admire wonderful natural landscapes and take a couple of pics.
We leave the city of Ushuaia along the National Route 3 to the north of the island to reach the Fuegian Andes through valleys covered by peat bogs. We will cross the Carbajal, Huskies, Tierra Mayor and Las Parrots Valleys, where the practice of cross-country skiing is possible during the winter.
The next item on the tour will be Paso Garibaldi (450 meters above sea level), where we cross the Andes Mountains, with the beautiful view of the Lakes Escondido and Fagnano.
From there we will begin the descent to reach the area of the mills, particularly the sawmill Martinez, today desactivated, on the shore of Lago Fagnano. From there we will go back to the city, not before stopping to taste the typical Fuegian lamb roast (not included).
